Beat the egg white until stiff before folding in the sugar, followed by the cream. Flavor with the sherry (or brandy). Line 4 dessert glasses with the halved vanilla fingers (or lady fingers) or thin strips of cake. Fill with the mixture. Chill or serve at once. Before serving, top with a maraschino cherry. |
