Another great recipe


Nancy's Charlotte Russe
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • 1 tsp. sweet sherry
  • Vanilla fingers or sponge cake
  • Maraschino cherries

      Beat the egg white until stiff before folding in the sugar, followed by the cream. Flavor with the sherry (or brandy). Line 4 dessert glasses with the halved vanilla fingers (or lady fingers) or thin strips of cake. Fill with the mixture. Chill or serve at once. Before serving, top with a maraschino cherry.
