Sherry Nutmeg Miracle | |
| Ingredients: One cake mix, white, strawberry, or lemon One box instant pudding, lemon or vanilla Four eggs 3/4-cup butter, melted, or cooking oil One tablespoon finely grated nutmeg 3/4-cup sweet sherry wine |
Preparation: Beat these items for about three minutes. Place the batter, which will be somewhat thick, in a greased and floured bundt-cake pan, tube pan, or angelfood-cake pan. Bake in a pre-heated 350-degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes and then reverse the cake onto a serving plate. Frosting: Glaze the cake wile still warm with a mixture of 1 cup powdered sugar and the juice of 1 medium orange, plus its grated rind (at least 1 teaspoon). This dessert makes a wonderful tea cake. |
