Sugary Almonds

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 pound almonds, blanched
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
    Mix the sugar and water in a frying pan. Cook for 3 minutes or until the syrup looks whitish. Add the nuts and cook for 2 more minutes. Add the flavorings and allow to cool for about 10 minutes. Then return to a low heat and stir until sugar starts to melt. Pour over wax-paper on a cool pan. Separate the nuts and allow to dry.

    Wonderful dessert treat or after-dinner snack!
