Two Glass Ashtrays

Two glass ashtrays. The brown-colored one is a souvenir piece with red stamping which reads "Haarrah's Reno and Lake Tahoe" (repeated three times). This one is about 3 1/2-inches in diameter and also about 1 1/4-inches in height. There are three notches for resting lit cigarettes.
The clear one is larger and heavier, about one pound, and its diameter is about 4 1/2-inches and height about 1 1/2-inches. An abstract image of a bird is incised in the bottom, while the bowl of the ashtray is smooth. The edges show irregular raised abstract shapes, cut to allow lit cigarettes to rest.
Estimated age for these pieces is about 50 years. Nice additions to collections but also of practical use for confirmed smokers.
