Chocolatier, hot chocolate server
| About 8 1/4-inches tall, this decorative chocolate pot with lid is charming and elegant. Width is about 5 1/4-inches at widest point and depth is about 4 3/4-inches at widest. Markings on bottom are "H&C." and "FRANCE" in green and "Haviland & Co." and "Limoges." in red. The red markings are repeated inside the lid. Coloring on the white china base include gold, brown and pink variations. The floral leaf design in gold covering the object is finely detailed. Capacity is about a quart of liquid. The handle, in golden hue, curves to encircle a golden flower, and this pattern is repeated on the lid, with the flower blossom being the knob at the top of the lid. An appealing piece for a collection of fine ceramics as well as for lovers of an old-fashioned classic, the hot chocolate service. In fine condition. |
