Dessert Dishes in Different Designs
| Two decorated plates, about the same size, for display or dessert service. One plate features an Oriental theme. It is about 7-inches in diameter and shows a pattern drawing in navy-hue around the rim, encircling, and outlining the central picture and three figures, a fence, and a house. Other hues include rose, green, and yellow. Two women are chatting in a garden with another woman sitting inside the house or gazebo. Marking on reverse: hallmark design featuring circles, laurel leaves, and crown, with text "A. BRCE" and "Chinese Pattern" and "16210" and "19" . A second plate may also be available; it has some craquelure in the china ceramic surface and "2" instead of "19" on the reverse or bottom of the plate (the diameter of the plate bottom or base is about 3 7/8-inches). The other plate is about 7 1/2-inches and features pastel hues and gold-tone decorations. The rim is ruffled and fluted with flower designs, a gold-hued strip with flower designs, a gold-hued strip in abstract designs, and, in the center, an abstract form based on a flower or star and done in gold tones. The back, with a base measuring about 4 1/2-inches in diameter, is white and the markings are "Ovington Bro's" in red and in a green rectangle, " T& V". A few additional dishes in this pattern may also be available (about 4 to 7 items extra). Interesting plates for collectors and hostesses looking for unusual dining accessories.
