Set of Silver Bowls, Dishes or Salt-Cellars

Eight small silver dishes, about 3 1/2-inches by 2 3/8-inches by 3/8-inch deep. Possible uses: finger bowls, salt cellars, ashtrays, condiment or nuts dishes. The center of most of them is somewhat worn, possibly from stacking them all together or possibly from whatever use was made of them in the past.
Hallmark on bottom of each is "Meriden B. Company" in a circle surrounding a shield form which encloses a pair of scales. Outside the circle is the numeral "4". The dishes are oval, slightly concave, with a decorative lip, slightly wider at the long ends. Interesting pieces which are at least 100 years old.
