This is,
Chuck's
Climbing Page,
my name is Chuck. Help me figure out a better name for this page.
This site contains writings and pictures mostly concerning climbing or a time I went climbing, plus links I use to plan for climbing and those I use to procrastinate by reading about climbing. I live in Seattle.
My essay of why climbing is cool.
You will find on these pages:
stories:
climbs I've done and written about, some pictures involved. In reverse-chronological order, they tend to be artier toward the top.
Enjoy or not. In either case,
feedback
is encouraged.
And remember, climbing
is dangerous. Anyone who tells you driving is more dangerous
than climbing has not carefully evaluated the risks. One circumstance
in which driving may actually be as dangerous as climbing is when you're
driving home from climbing, at 1am, after a grueling epic. In any
case, be aware of the risks involved.
slides:
climbs that I've done, 90% of content is pictures. Slideshows. Usually if you click a picture you'll get another picture. Minor captions. That sort of thing
SYO:
excessive info that may ruin your adventure on some local classics.
However, if exploring the unknown isn't yer bag, then check this page out. It might
mean less people having to wait behind you. Also a crag guide.
BORC:
some good stuff from rec.climbing, and a link to read current rec.climbing.
misc:
protection size/weight charts, local [Seattle] information
