1. RF backplate removed

3. Inside of unit with backplane removed

5. Removed Brown, Green and 2 shrink wrapped ground connections from circuit board. These are audio left right and audio ground.

7. Shrink wrap was hard to get over the ground connections. So I added a strip of electrical tape.

9. Replaced case

11. Final picture with 3.5mm stereo jack

2. RF Backplate bent during removal

4. Opened unit showing back of circuit board

6. Soldered cut audio wires to new 3.5mm stereo jack cable.

8. Cut small hole into case for audio cable

10. Cut opening into back plate cover and pounded flat with small hammer.

Once everything was put back into the case I tried it in my Tahoe. Unit powered on and was charging. Changed the input to AUX on my Alpine and everything came in great. No need to adjust the volume on the unit because the audio out is line level. Which is nice because I would always have to adjust the audio on the Zune and the stereo to get the right volume.
