Ember

rd1.jpg: Ember, the firestorm dragon, lies hidden deep within a Nork cave. Some very young KaMers have raided the gear closet of their parents and make their way to the extreme SE corner of Nork-6 where they will blast a hole in the wall to reveal a stairs to the lair. This party had 2 barbarians and 2 healers.

rd2.jpg: The dragon is engaged in her stark lair. Evil NPCs will sometimes join the battle. Ember has a claw attack, and breathes a hot, 1 hex firestorm. Flawless healing got the party through some tense moments. Kevorkian got in the killing shot with a well timed assault spell.

Ember's hide tans to red scales that offer excellent protection against firestorm. But the scales are rather lousy armor. An amulet is dropped that also offers firestorm protection.

Mangi

vtdrag.jpg: Mangi has an insatiable appetite for noob flesh, fed by easy access to his lair and a steady stream of young warriors willing to test their mettle against his claws. Go to Volcano Town, climb down and head south east across the water a short distance. You will see the lava spilling out of his lair.

For many players, this is the first really big lair critter they battle, and usually the first lair critter to eat them. The hide tans to scales that make excellent starter armor. Glowing gauntlets are on its corpse, very good for practitioners of the Martial Arts. It has a rather hot breath attack, and can claw for up to 200 on a proning hit.

Mamma

mamm1.jpg: Mamma is the mother of all red dragons, and has the breath and claw attack to prove it. Wear lots and lots of fire protection and pray she doesn't decide to make a meal of you. Her eat is very, very bad. Expect your mangled corpse to be resurrected short of hit points, experience and stats.
