Hello:
I just wanted to follow up on my recommendation for the Harrington Outdoor Center as a scout activity location. Our two Wolf dens participated in a 'Feats of Skill' obstacle course today and we enjoyed it. The gentlemen running the course did a very nice job of working our specific goals into their program. The boys had the opportunity to do some of the low ropes courses as well, but we did not have time to investigate the play area at the 'top of the hill'. I think 8 boys would be a very nice workable number, as 13 made it a little hard to wait for everybody's turn (the ropes were one person at a time). The Harrington center also had a picnic area for our use and I noticed that rock climbing and archery were possible activities (not sure for what ages?). Finally, the cost broke down to $8/child for our group today. I have CC'd Steve Lockney in case you need more information for your den.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Curry
