Our Mission
The Cultural Activity Group, LLC is a social cultural group of professional
people of distinction and accomplishment in the Washington, DC metro area that
are educated and professional and who are looking for mutual enrichment and
other congenial ways to pass the time, enrich the soul, and make new friends.
The Group was founded in January 2003 for the purpose of hosting upscale
Cultural and social gatherings allowing people to meet new people. The non-date
format of the activities gives everyone a chance to meet new people.
Although most of our members are single, we encourage couples and married
people to join in on the activities. This is a group of people who like to do
things, want to meet new people and maybe new friendships-a harmonious group of
people.
Our group's numbers are evenly divided between men and women and new people are
joining the group all the time.
The Cultural Activity Group, LLC is an web-based event
planning company and is not affiliated with any other clubs, groups or
organizations.
What do we do
The Group will participate in dining out (casual and gourmet), films/movies,
friendship, biking, hiking, horseback riding, holiday lights viewing,
sight-seeing, star-gazing, Spa Day, brunch and Dim Sum, happy hours, potlucks,
games night, holiday gatherings, day trips to local places, museums, concerts,
walks in the park, discussions, conversations, Kennedy Center, Shakespeare Theatre,
wine and cheese tasting, traveling, hiking, biking and sporting activities and
more.
You can expect one group activity every month. This group is for people who
like to do things, are easy to get along with and like to meet new people. The
group will probably meet on weekends or if during the week will be near a metro
stop for convenience purposes.
Planned events can be moved or rescheduled due to bad
weather or extenuating circumstances.
We hope you will join us for this month's get together.
Why should I join
The opportunity to meet, socialize with and establish
friendships with other like-minded singles at enjoyable, interesting, and
fulfilling activities.
Other groups in town charge a "per event fee" which can cost as must
as $25-$150 per event to attend! Our group only has a yearly fee, however you
pick up your own food/drink tab and any admission cost that you incur on the
event.
Clientele
Our members are professionals that include doctors, lawyers, financial and
technical companies from Fortune 500 companies, small business owners, military
service personnel, civil servants and social workers. Our members live within
MD, VA and DC areas.
Group Focus
Although we are not a dating service or a match making group-people still meet
on their own accord. If you are looking to meet someone for dating, it is
suggested that you take that responsibility. Dating people you meet from the
group is left entirely up to the user.
Our focus is on Cultural related events in a non-pressure, friendly, group
environment.
Privacy Policy
The Cultural Activity Group, LLC policy does not give out email addresses of
people or provide any information on a particular person. Your information is strictly held
private.

RSVP
Requirement
We're different from most groups in town because we
ask for a reply (accept or regret) to our Activities. We do this because we
limit the size of our Activities and to give everyone a chance to participate.
We use www.meetup.com to manage the groups events posting and RSVPs to each event. If you are planning on attending an
event update your post your YES RSVP on www.meetup.com group page. If you change your mind please update
your posted RSVP to NO so that someone else can take your place at the event.
Hosting Events
Some of you have expressed interest in hosting events for the Cultural Activity
Group. If you are interested, please provide the following information in the
following format and we will send out an email. We prefer to keep the email
distribution list private since some people have asked it to be. People who are
interested in your event can RSVP to you via email or phone. If you are hosting
the event, you will be responsible for planning all the details and any
coordination activities. All events should be culturally oriented for the most
part. If you think of an activity to do, you have to be the one who organizes
and sponsors it.
Fundraisers for other groups will not be permitted.

History
The group was created in January 2003. The creator and event planner of the
group has been hosting Cultural related events for more than a decade through
various volunteer organizations. In January 2003, the decision was made to
create a separate entity, called the Cultural Activity Group, LLC.
Wedding Announcements & More
Joseph and Tina where married on Saturday, May 22, 2004. The couple met at a
Cultural Activity Group, LLC Happy Hour in Bethesda, MD in 2003. Although the
Cultural Activity Group isn't a matching making service, people still meet on
their own accord.
