***** FRIENDS of the WHEELERS!!*****
At this year's Roadster Show the WHEELERS were glad to see some old friends and to meet some new ones......these guys are authorities on hot rodding and we thank them for their information and friendship!

My pal, Bob Morton, driving his killer '29 Roadster on Deuce rails with an
Olds "Indy" Aurora mill at the LA Roadster Show
Bob is a "49er", having raced at the very first Bonneville meet in 1949...he is also a well known dry lakes racer and flathead engine builder who has held more than a few records over the years. He will be inducted into the Dry Lakes Hall of Fame this year at the Annual *Gas Up* in Buellton, CA.

Doug Clem, "Bud" Meyer, and Brucie...2007 Roadster Show
In the above picture, Doug has introduced me to a legend in racing, "Bud" Meyer!! I am so pleased to know Bud and to have access to his many racing memories and recollections! He also has a really great sense of humor.....see autographed pic below!!

Doug's WhyGoBy Phaeton
Doug Clem from Sparks, NV is the Curator of the Meyer Family Racing Museum, and has four Deuces, including a B-400, a Roadster, a 3w Coupe, and a Highboy Phaeton, the *WhyGoBy* car, that you may have seen at various hot rod events in California and Nevada.

The *WHEELERS* are a group of hot rodders who have become associated through the internet.........in fact, we just might be the world's first *Cyber Hot Rod Club*....we meet on the internet regularly, although most of us have also met in person at various events, such as the LA Roadster Show, So Cal Open House, Road Agents' RUMBLE, swap meets, rod runs, and at each other's homes.
We have traded and sold parts to each other and over the 'net through eBay....we exist to foster interest in the history of hot rodding, socialize, trade information and tips, and to alert each other to parts, etc. that may be of interest on the internet.
We are members of the H.A.M.B. and encourage its support! Go here:
