Hi!...my name is Wayne Coffey and I'm glad you stopped by. If this is
your first time here, I would appreciate it if you would take the time to read
these few paragraphs. I hope you will find some information here that will be useful.
Maybe we'll even be able to share some of our family research material.
I will do my best to ensure the accuracy of the information displayed here.
But DO NOT take that to mean I guarantee everything you find on
these pages will be 100% accurate. The family data here has and will come
from many different sources. Some are documented and some are not but I
make no apologies for that. Please remember one thing as you browse my
pages...I am not gathering and posting family information to merely take up
space or my time. My goal is to provide a valuable resource to those
researching the Virginia Coffey lines. Therefore you are encouraged
to let me know of any errors or omissions you may find. In addition...if
you have ancestors who connect to anyone on these pages and would like to have
them included here, please forward the information to me and I will be more than
glad to add them. Over time I have limited the family lines I am
researching. Due to the time required, I am concentrating mainly on the
Coffey families who settled in Virginia primarily in Nelson, Augusta, Rockbridge,
and Amherst counties. I am also working on the Allen, Campbell, Fitzgerald,
and Harris families of the same area and the Bright and Woodzell families of
Augusta and Bath counties.
As this project evolves, I will be adding photos and documentation in the form
of Wills, Deeds, Obituaries, etc. I would be especially grateful if you
can help in locating photos of anyone on these pages. If you happen to
have a photo of anyone listed here, please contact me at:
[firstname.lastname@example.org]. Photos of headstones will
certainly be welcomed as well.
One very important item... In an effort to protect the privacy of those individuals
listed on these pages who are still living, you will find "* *" in place
of their date of birth.
Okay...let's go see what we can find...clicking on the "Home" button
below will take you to the start of the data pages. Once again...I hope
you find this site beneficial. Have fun and good luck with your research!
