The Famous Wildcat Regiment Welcome to the homepage for the 105th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Company E. We are a group of Civil War reenactors from South Western Pennsylvania with headquarters near West Newton, Pennsylvania. We represent the Company E of the 105th Regiment of Pennsylvania Volunteers, which was originally formed on the hills above West Newton at Camp Markle in August of 1861. The unit was officially mustered into the Union Army on September 4, 1861 at Camp Wilkins in Pittsburgh. We are a battle oriented mainstream unit and attend reenactments from Pennsylvania to Virginia; we maintain a garrison style camp setting at most events although some members choose to campaign on occasion. We are looking for people dedicated to preserving the memory the men who gave their lives for the Union. Interested in becoming a reenactor but not sure you'll like it? Try out our Reenactor for a weekend program! Thank you for your support! |
