
1. The 105th PVI Co. E will be
governed by
membership majority vote.
2. All members will be required to pay dues.
The governing body will set the amount. Anyone not paying dues
will be dismissed from the unit.
3. Strict attention will be paid to accuracy in the
portrayal of members and their impression. All non-period
(also known as “farby”) items will be kept out of
sight at all times during camp
hours. Only
period clothing and articles will be worn or displayed during camp hours
4. All prospective members must submit an enlistment
form then be voted on by the membership before a probationary
membership will be granted. The
probationary
period will be of 1 year in length. At the end of that year the
probationary member will be then voted on by the membership to attain
permanent membership
5. In a reasonable amount of time all members are expected
to furnish themselves with necessary camp items, stools, cups, eating
utensils, tents, camping
equipment
needed to stay in
camp. Also when finances permit you are expected to buy necessary
soldiering equipment such as, musket, uniform, leathers, etc
6. All rank elections will be held every year with the
exception of officers due to the high cost of outfitting their
impression being every two years. No rank
positions are
permanent. Votes will be cast by soldiers only, after anyone
wishing to try out has had a chance to show their ability to the others
at our winter drills.
7. Members in camp behavior will be that of a
civil nature, PROFANITY WILL BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM! We will
be courteous to neighboring units, no
loud or
profane conversations will be tolerated that offend others, we also
have children in camp at times and we do not set a good example for
them, also lewd conversations are prohibited.
8. Any dispute between members will be brought
to the company commanders attention to resolve, it is a long season and
people get on each others nerves
occasionally, if a dispute
escalates while encamped
the actors will be asked to leave the encampment area to resolve it
rather then disrupt the battalion, or other
members.
9. ABSOLUTLY NO DRUG USE OR EXCESSIVE ALCOHOL USE WILL BE
TOLERATED.
