Coyote Point Park, San Mateo CA

This first time event 2002 was put on by Pilarcitos. An enjoyable course, with a wide variety of terrain and challenges. The big sand drop in the second photo below claimed victims on almost every lap, and since the "C" race went early, was pretty soggy from dew and tides. If I'd paid attention during the race, I might've tried to ride the "gutter" rather than run the 40 yards by the barrier tape on the last couple laps - but that would mean I'd have had to have been thinking clearly at that point.

Actully felt pretty good during this race - I'd been doing a lot of run-up work since the EBCX #2.
