Last Cross race of 2002 - part of the EBCX Series put on by VeloPromo. Following a few weeks of torrential rains and storms through Northern California, the sunshine of the day was a bit startling. However, as the course snaked its way over open grassy fields, the saturated ground made its presence known through the hidden (and not-so-hidden) sucking mud.

Nevertheless, despite the grindingly slow progress on certain parts of the course, I didn't get lapped, didn't flat and did finish.
