Kieran's Irish Pub is the host venue for the official SlamMN! Poetry Slams. Kieran's donates the space to SlamMN! for the monthly slam competition and provides prizes for the top 5 poets of each month. |

Finnegan's Irish Amber is the ONLY beer company that donates 100% of its profits. Profits go to the Spud Society to help the working poor and at-risk youth. Finnegan's is sponsoring three poetry slam events this year: The Anything Goes Slam (Aug. 8, 2005), the Erocita Slam (Feb. 14, 2006) and the Minnesota Grand Slam (March 14, 2006). Each year, SlamMN! raises money to send the poetry slam team to the National Poetry Slam, to attend the annual Slam Master's meeting, to bring out of town features to the slam, to produce team t-shirts, anthologies and books, and to purchase necessary items for the slam (paper, printing of flyers, dry erase boards and markers, microphone covers, etc.)
