Poetry Slam and Writing Workshops

Cynthia French, the Slam Master for SlamMN! has been teaching workships in writing poetry, fiction and nonfiction; along with workshops on poetry slams and performance for over 5 years throughout the Twin Cities.

Cynthia has a college slam workshop program that has been well received at St. Johns University, Century College, and Bemidji State University. She has lectured and performed at the UofM, St. Thomas, and Carleton College.

Armed with her MFA in Writing and over 8 years of performance experience, Cynthia has visited middle schools, high schools and community centers as a guest teacher independently as well as for organizations such as SASE: The Write Place.

She has helped develop poetry slam programs in 5 different libraries throughout the Twin Cities area - some going into their 5th year!

Working with other poets from SlamMN! poetry slams, Cynthia can help facilitate a program (workshop, performance, lecture, combination, etc.) to help fulfill your needs.
