Max earned his degree (B.Sci., Psychology) from Bradley University in June, 2005. After returning to Oak Park, he accepted employment in the management training program at Hertz Rent-a-Car. His office is just a short ride to Elmhurst.

Sam was the first kid in Oak Park to obtain a Nintendo DS, early in the morning on November 21, 2004. He reserved his unit several months ago, and his foresight paid off, as production volumes have not met the demand. He has been enjoying the battery-powered, twin-screen, touch-panel system, which takes the tiny DS game chips and Game Boy Advanced cartridges.

Bart the Hamster escaped in early October 2004. After his cage mysteriously overturned, the door thrown open, Bart wandered out and found an opening under a step, into the sub-floor. After three days, we assumed he was lost forever. Then, Sam (photo, L) awoke one morning to find Bart sitting at the step, waiting to be fed.
Here, Grandpa Milt (photo, R) demonstrates one possible way to hold a hamster.
Sad postscript: Bart expired in 2005. Hamster life expectancy is two to four years. We assume that living under the floor for several days did not help.
