The Gen-X cousins socialize at Thanksgiving 2006 dinner in New Jersey, courtesy of Dave's brother and sister-in-law Rick and Lori. Dave and family traveled to the East Coast to visit Dvorit at U-Penn, see his parents, and join everyone for the festive dinner. (Left-to-right) Amanda, Eric, Max, Sam, Dvorit.
After 25 years Dave and Gale are still neither divorced nor separated. In this photo taken November 1, they are enjoying a fancy dinner at the Signature Room on top of the Hancock Tower in Chicago. The staff, having instantly recognized this celebrity couple, presented them with the lovely edible candelabrum, which they will use again at Hanukkah.
Sam was Casting Director of an independent movie made in and around Chicago in August and September, 2006. He and his colleagues at Oak Park River Forest High School raised $30,000 to fund the production of a new script. Sam handled the advertising and management of casting calls, made the first-cut selections, and, during the filming, wrangled the extras.
The movie is called Love. Blood. Kryptonite. and it will be previewed at a theater here in Oak Park, and widely available on DVD.
Dvorit accepted the Directorship of Bloomers, the all-female comedy theater troupe at her own University of Pennsylvania, in May, 2006. She has been in the cast since freshman year in 2003, and has also been a staff writer and assistant director.
She is also a residence hall advisor, and a manager in the alumni donation telemarketing group. And she takes classes.
