collection of background information and maps, much of which is

Irish Family
History Foundation: The Irish Family History Foundation is
the coordinating body for a network of government approved
genealogical research centers in the Republic of Ireland (Eire) and
in Northern Ireland which have computerized tens of millions of
Irish ancestral records of different types. Searches are free
but a fee must be paid to view record details.

Historic Genealogical Society is the oldest and most respected
nonprofit genealogical organization in the country. Their
extensive set of databases are available to members for online
