This is NOT a money-making scam ... well ... it IS meant to make MONEY ... but it's NOT a scam!!
Sooo ... there are some amazing, generous, kind and loving humans out there who dedicate their time, talents and a good portion of their pay checks to help waterfowl that others have basically harmed and/or dumped. There isn't a lot of support for this work, and these rehabbers can use our help, so if ya feel the urge to give a buck to help a duck, you're in luck!
But first ... while we're on the subject of Duck Rescue <ahem> ... just one quck (angry) soap box side-note before you read further ... about the waterfowl that these rehabbers help ... and about the humans who DUMP them: when you raise a domestic duck or goose and then decide to "set it free" in some local pond, you're really just sentencing it to death. Domestic critters, and even wild waterfowl who may have imprinted on YOU (the human), won't survive once you dump them -- so DON'T!!
