Yolo
Causeway has been rebuilt using aluminum plate as the core to the
bridges - if that warps we have a real problem! Cosmetically
wrapped in wood and eventually will get ballasted on the deck and
you'll never guess it has an aluminum core!

Marysville

Martinez / West Oakland / Desert (16th St Oakland) Yard
Team-work
- the trick to getting things done. Safety is also a concern,
you might say a 'staple' of a
successful project. What's wrong with this picture?
Here we are moving the yard limit switch at Desert Yard in Oakland
so that it will be out from underneath what will be the Keddie wye
scene above. A left hand curved switch will be inserted into
the 'west bound' main just west of Martinez; benefit is this will
give us a pull back lead of a few feet for the east end of the yard.
Work
also progressing on the spur tracks for industries at Martinez.
Sacramento 12th Street Yard west approach - realignment

Changes made to allow both ladders to access the west end trim lead.
Work starts with centerlines on the layout - Joe and Ed are marking the switches for us.
Dry-fit is the next step - align and cut in switches and track:
The Yolo Causeway (between Davis and West Sacramento) is getting the scenic backdrop treatment.
