To commemorate and honor Maryland's Confederate soldiers in the War Between the States, Company C of the 2nd Maryland Infantry, CSA, a re-enactment company and organization, is currently campaigning and marching to the field. Company C is a non-profit, strictly history oriented unit which seeks to educate not only its members, but all others, young and old, male and female alike, about Maryland's role and her Civil War heritage. The 2nd Maryland Infantry, Company C, denounces racism, racial supremacists, hate groups, and any other group or individual that misuses or desecrates the symbols of the Confederate States or the United States. Within the hearts and minds of today's Company C members, burns a never-ending flame that signals their love, devotion and commitment to that tragic, yet ever meaningful period of our nation's history--the years of 1861 through 1865. Throughout each year, Company C members demonstrate their commitment to and belief in the importance of remembering and honoring those that marched before us. They unselfishly volunteer their time and energies to being hard campaigning field re-enactors and preserving the Old Line State's southern heritage through living history and education. "Honoring those that marched before us. . ."
