Why NSCAA Rankings Aren't Linked Here

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) conducts weekly rankings of teams during the soccer season. You won't find those rankings linked here. The NSCAA, although they claim to conduct "the most widely recognized national and regional soccer ranking system in the country as a service to the general public and its members" actually does a disservice to its members by excluding from the rankings approximately 100 Division III teams that do not pay for the College Services. The NSCAA web site states, "The CS membership is necessary for an institution to be considered for the NSCAA/adidas College Rankings both nationally and/or regionally." This policy cheapens the accomplishment of teams that are otherwise legitimately ranked. It should also be noted that the coaches of most if not all of the excluded teams hold individual memberships in the NSCAA.

Does the Associated Press only rank football and basketball teams from colleges that subscribe to their newspapers?

As long as the NSCAA maintains this exclusionary policy, this web site will refrain from reporting or linking their rankings.
