I am emailing you to update you on our Africa Project. If this is the first that you have heard of this, please click here for a brief update on our efforts to help one poor community in Khayelitsha Township, South Africa.

 

I would like to introduce you to some interesting web activity. First- a press release on a “blog” style website that we have created. The site will include daily journals, pictures and video from our trip to Africa. We are also adding journals and video on our final days of preparation, as well as mementos of Chris Campbell as he is linked to this project. Second is an update to our F&M soccer website that includes links into many organizations that we are working with.

Next, please mark Monday March 3^rd on your calendar and plan to come to F&M’s campus for: “A night with Survivor Africa winner and Grassroots Soccer Co-Founder  Ethan Zohn.” Ethan will speak at Roschel Performing Arts Center at 7 PM. Our players will present  on our Africa project. We hope to fill the 500 seat Performing Arts Center. The event is free.

 

Finally, for people who live near Lancaster. Please help us on Tuesday March 4 by eating dinner at Isaac’s Deli . If  you eat dinner between 5 and 9 PM at Isaac’s Granite Run, Ephrata or Downtown locations - 25% of  your bill will go to our  Soccer Africa Project. For our program to receive credit, you will need to print the attached brochure and present it when you pay for your food.
