Area III-A 1948-1953
In 1948 BSA adopted the Order of the Arrow as a national
program. The country was organized in to 12 regions based on the
geographic boundaries of the Federal Reserve System. Regions were divided
into areas designated by letters A-H. Pennsylvania was in Region 3. Keystone Area
Council and Susquehannock Lodge XI were in Area III-A. This lasted until
1954 when Area III-E was split off from III-A.

In 1954 Area A was split up.
Susquehannock XI was assigned to Area E. The other lodges in Area III-E
were Swatara 39 (Lebanon County), Monaken 103 (Juniata Valley),
Guneukitschik 317 (Mason-Dixon), Wapsu Achtu 343 (Susquehanna Valley
Area), Tiadaghton 384 (West Branch), Tuckahoe 386 (York-Adams Area) and
Minqua 519 (Lancaster County). Swatara 39 and Minqua 519 became Wunita Gokos 39 when
Lebanon County and Lancaster County Councils merged to form
Lancaster-Lebanon County Council just in time to host the final Area III-E
conclave in 1973.

Section NE-5B 1973-1988
 
Effective
January 1, 1973 BSA
reduced the number of regions from 12 to 6. Pennsylvania became part of
the new Northeast Region. Susquehannock Lodge became part of new Section
NE-5B. Also in NE-5B were Wyona 18 (Columbia-Montour), Winingus 30 (General Sullivan), Monaken 103 (Juniata
Valley), Wapsu Achtu 343 (Susquehanna Valley Area), Tiadaghton 384 (West
Branch) and Tuckahoe 386 (York-Adams Area). In 1975 the section was
reduced from 7 to 6 lodges when Susquehanna Valley Area and West Branch
Councils merged to form Susquehanna Council and Woapeu Sisilija Lodge 343.
In 1988, the Northeast
Region realigned its six areas into seven areas (twelve sections, reduced
from fifteen). The old sections held their final conclaves in 1988.
Winingus 30, Woapeu Sisilija
343 and Wyona 18 went to NE-4A. Monaken 103 went to the new NE-5.
Susquehannock XI and Tuckahoe 386 joined NE-6.

Section NE-6 1982-1994
   
Section
NE-6 was
formed on May 22, 1982 when its five charter lodges, Nentico 12 (Baltimore
Area), Nentego 20 (DEL-MAR-VA), Guneukitschik 317 (Mason-Dixon), Amangamek-Wipit
470 and Ahtuhquog 540 (Potomac) were transferred from SE-9 in the
Southeast Region to the Northeast Region. A sixth lodge, Black Eagle 482
(Transatlantic), transferred from NE-3A to NE-6 in June of 1982.
Section NE-6 continued as a group of six lodges until a 1988 realignment of the Northeast Region. In November of
1988, Susquehannock
XI (Keystone Area) and Tuckahoe 386 (York-Adams Area) from NE-5B and
Wunita Gokhos 39 (Lancaster-Lebanon) from NE-5A joined Section NE-6.
In 1994
another realignment resulted in the elimination of Area 6, NE-6 became
NE-4C with the exception of NE-6
charter lodge Ahthuhquog 540 which was transferred to Section NE-5.

Section
NE-4C was
established in June of 1994, following a realignment of the councils and areas of the Northeast Region.
In June 1997 two lodges were transferred from NE-4C to other sections,
Black Eagle 482 to NE-2A and Wunita Gokhos 39 to NE-4A. The other member lodges of Section NE-4C
were:
Susquehannock XI (Keystone Area), Nentico 12 (Baltimore Area),
Nentego 20 (Del-Mar-VA), Guneukitschik 317 (Mason-Dixon), Tuckahoe 386
(York-Adams Area) and Amangamek-Wipit 470 (National Capital Area) .
Effective July 1, 2008 the Northeast Region reorganized into 7
areas. In the resultant section changes, the two Pennsylvania lodges from NE-4C,
Susquehannock XI (Keystone Area) and Tuckahoe 386
(York-Adams Area) moved to new section NE-6B. The remaining four lodges
formed new section NE-6A.

Section
NE-6B
is
one of two Order of the Arrow Sections in Area 6 of the Northeast Region.
Section NE-6B was established July 1, 2008, following a realignment of the
councils and areas of the Northeast Region. The Section was formed from NE-4A's
Kittatinny 5 (Hawk Mountain), Octoraro 22 (Chester County) and Wunita Gokhos 39
(Pennsylvania Dutch) and NE-4C's Susquehannock XI (Keystone Area) and Tuckahoe
386 (York-Adams Area). Keystone Area Council and York-Adams Area Council merged
in April 2010 to become New Birth of Freedom Council. Susquehannock XI and
Tuckahoe 386 merged on January 1, 2011 into new lodge Sasquesahanough 11.
Section NE-6B was realigned July 1, 2011and Guneukitschik 317 (Mason-Dixon)
transferred into the section.
