About Daisy's ATC (Artist Trading Cards):
 
While I enjoy dabbling in a wide variety of fine arts and crafts, lately I've been busy making ATCs, Artist Trading Cards. You can see examples of my cards and cards other people, including my talented daugher, have created here.
ATCs are tiny 2 1/2-inch x 3 1/2-inch works of art. That's the size of a standard playing card or trading card. The cards are traded with other artists at swap meetings or through online groups, and sometimes they're sold by the artist.
The ATCs can be made out of a variety of material. Many artists use decks of regular playing cards as their base. The creations can be drawings, paintings, digital art, collage, or mixed media. Like any artwork, they can be funny, serious, intricate, simple, and can incorporate numerous styles. My own ATCs are a mix of all of the above. It just depends on my mood and the materials I have available when I sit down to create.
Each ATC is a work of art in its own right. They can be displayed in frames as artwork, individually or in groups. They can also be displayed in books, like photo albums. The books hold sheets of plastic with nine insert pockets. I keep two books, one with my own ATCs and another with all of the wonderful ATCs I've collected from other artists. They make sensational and truly one-of-a-kind coffee table books.
So what kind of art does a romantic comedy writer create? I guess you'd say it's a little bit crazy and out-of-the-box…just like me. :-) My artwork has been called many things...outsider; expressionism; modern art; surrealist; cubist; and so on. Call it whatever you like, I don't care. LOL I just create what I have to create...what I need to create at any given time. My artwork is sometimes irreverent, controversial and disturbing. It's often humorous and always out of the ordinary. Just like my writing, it's not meant to please everyone. ;-)
So, enjoy browsing through the ATCs I've uploaded so far (and watch for new ones added every so often). These are just some of the hundreds of cards I've created. Some have already been traded at swap meets. Some you'll love, others you'll hate, some will just leave you scratching your head and saying, “Huh?”, but chances are you'll find the often odd, strange and uniquely Daisy-esque cards interesting. :-D
