According to a newspaper story dated April 7, 1942, on page 203 of the book DAYS OF GLORY, this snapshot was taken at the birthday party of Mrs. Dora Streight Popejoy, held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe S. Snider, 304 W. Central.
I recognize a few faces in the front row: Polly Jane Deason, Billy Chiles and Billy Thad Beebe. In the second row is Jimmy Bailey, Joe Ed Talkington, Ruth Lyon, Mrs. Popejoy and Mrs. Mary E. Tabor, mother of Mrs. Popejoy.
Behind Mrs. Popejoy is Mary Jane Olney Tyler and Joe S. Snider Jr.
Bonnie Alice Vollmer is in the third row at the far left side.
