Notes
| 1. | Applies to page 192, items 41 and 42. The same number range, 200104 to 219957, is given for class Glc, item 41 and Gla, item 42. The number of cars for these classes is given, but it is impossible to tell which which car numbers were used for Glc cars or Gla cars from the information given. The % of car numbers (14%) reflects both items. There are 19854 possible cars in the number series, and a total of 2876 cars for both items. 2876 is 14% of 19854. |
| 2. | Applies to page 192, items 47 and 51. The same number range, 250001 to 250978, is given for class Gla, item 47 and Glc, item 51. The number of cars for these classes is given, but it is impossible to tell which which car numbers were used for Gla cars or Glc cars from the information given. The percent of car numbers (67%) reflects both items. There are 978 possible cars in the number series, and a total of 654 cars for both items. 654 is 67% of 978. |
| 3. | Percentages of car numbers used does not prove that a certain percentage of a class exists. However, the older classes , Glc, and Gla, consistently show lower percentages of numbers used. This could be due to attrition, but could also be influenced by other factors, such as car renumbering, etc. There is no way of knowing if all numbers in a particular number series were used when the cars were originally built. |
