Welcome to the Dennis Allen web site! This Internet web site serves many purposes. In addition to promoting myself and my freeware, I created this web site to help my clients. The freeware section, for example, has the latest software needed to maintain my FoxPro applications.
This web site has become a source of reference material for FoxPro 2.6 and Visual FoxPro programmers. I'm proud of my FoxPro 2.6 cross-platform work and particularly proud of the FoxPro 2.6 for Unix on Linux work.
You may find some interesting features on this web site. In the left frame, the upper text box displays the date and time (decimal and binary). If you like, the clock can be changed from digital to analog (see configuration menu). If your browser displays mouse cursor help tips, the date/time box will display your current time zone and whether you are in daylight savings time.
In the left frame, I use Cascading Style Sheets to offer a collapsible outline menu. For browsers that cannot handle style sheets, the outline menu "gracefully degrades" by remaining open.
The home page gives an example of how to use Microsoft Internet Explorer style filters to enhance images. On the "Dennis Allen" image, a different style filter is displayed for each day of the week. I also use dynamic html code to display company logos and their associated hyperlinks. Three images are displayed at a time. After every 10 seconds, the oldest logo is removed and a new logo is added.
If you do not like these style features, there are two ways to disable them. One way is to mouse click on the "Dennis Allen" home page image. A more permanent way is to configure your call to this web site (see configuration menu).
