Well, here you have it! A place for all your solutions. Well maybe not all, but give me time.

Have you ever needed an answer and couldn't find one? Me too. Too often in fact. So often that I have a page just of bookmarked references.

Those bookmarks are great for me, but what about you guys?? They don't have any real direction as to what I was looking for, why I needed it, or anything for that matter. My bookmarks are just a bunch of links.

I have decided to change that with this page. A page of common problems and where you can find answers. And of course, there is no way that I am going to have all the answers so I have this simple search engine and these following links to Google and Jeeves.

Good luck and I hope it all works out for you.

Let's begin. Netscape users "Find As You Type"

Site search Web search

powered by FreeFind

Simply the Best States it all. A great site for many Windows related things. After looking through their site a bit I raealized that my Netscape page was a waste of my time. (for me anyway) So I am creating a page for The STB Tuts.

Simply the Best Fonts Same place, lots of free fonts.
As you can tell most of the things so far aren't common problems but more for web design and graphic arts. Oops!

Webmonkey! damn! I did it again! Oh well, another good resource. which is also part of the Terra Lycos Search Engine/Development Division or some Sh** like that.

http://www.tucows.com/Self Explanatory.. well not really. Everyone knows who Tucows is but if you don't it's library of downloadable software. Not to exclude http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/ ZDnet another among many.

Something new I just stumbled apon Animations Grand opening Well, I don't really know too much about this place accept that it's brand new and it will have a hard time keeping up with http://www.wired.com/animation/ and all the others out there.

Another Techie site to for help, that was referred by the Millwork Man, is LockerGnome.com. These sites are great to help prevent problems before they start.

It’s full of information and free downloads for solving your needs. Subscribe to the daily newsletter and they send you info, and they don’t have any spam.

Most people still usually go to Google and do a search. You can usually find answers by starting there.

THE MOTHER LOAD!

I found it! The html Tag resource page! Ah HA!! Finally. I sit here trying to guess what these tags can do, how to use this program, and remember everything I have forgotten, while somewhere out there hundreds of people have put together lists. An online book. I have done some searching and have come up with two that I think will be all I need for basic html. There is Willcam, Devedge for Netscape. All this is actually scaring me. I am realizing that I am still using old school tactics for my pages. These links alone could keep us reading for weeks. Ok, enough. Here is a search result that should help me in the future. A whole page on Netscape stuff here.

I am back!! Every page that I create I start basically from scratch. I have yet to find a format/template that I want to use for all the pages. What do you think of this one? I got the background from Kats Korner Patterns album. 171 to choose from.

Another small problem I encountered today is that I can't have different text color properties for different sections within a page. I wanted to change the links and visited links to coincide with the different color backgrounds and I can't. (or just don't know how) The page properties are stubborn. If you know a way, please let me know.

Somewhat useless information for you....

QUESTION: How can silverware be preserved without continuously polishing it?

SOLUTION: The strange thing that most people don't realize is the best way to keep your silverware tarnish free is to use it, and reuse. The more use, the less care it will require, then follow these directions. Polish it according to direction on the silver polishing container. Dry well. Store in Pacific cloth-a soft flannel that has not been treated with chemicals and place them in plastic bags. Don't use elastic bans to fastens bags-rubber contains sulfur and will cause tarnishing.

I am back AGAIN!!!

This whole thing started the day that I needed an answer to a heating question. I had the day off, no one was around, it was snowing, and my heat wasn't working. Well, I don't know anything really about heating, or electrical, and couldn't figure out what to do. I started looking around online to find a solution for this problem.

The solution to my problem was easy, I needed to bleed the pipes, but for the next issue that comes around it may not be so simple. Here are a couple of reference links for you.

Service Master. Inside you can find information on HVAC and/or plumbing.

I have already done the search for heating service.

Some More Q&A for you.

How about some Dictionary Solutions?

Very simple information here for you. Which dictionary should I choose, where is it, and why? Well, I don't know all those answers. I do know that you may want to book mark this tidbit of information.

Merriam-Webster's Dictionary is someone who I have never heard of but they made it a point to somehow get themselves to the top of the search results so I figured they must be somewhat decent. They also have a thesaurus and a word of the day that you can register for. Not really sure why.

Of course the obvious, Dictionary.com. Again, at the top of the list. They also have a thesaurus, a translator, games, etc...

And now there is what will be my favorite, Webopedia. "The only online dictionary and search engine you need for computer and Internet technology." so they say. Web and internet jargon, programming lingo, and anything else that doesn't make sense you can figure out here. How about the term of the day? Bet ya didn't know there was one huh? Well, just like everyone else, they have a search tool you can integrate into your browser. Now I don't know about you, but if I put every search tool or add on into my browser I wouldn't have any room for the page. It's up to you, the link is there if you want.

Do you get in trouble a lot? I used to. If you do, did, or know someone who does, you can get help with terminology from Duhaime.org Researched, written in plain language and provided free of charge by lawyer Lloyd Duhaime.

Math!! ewwww! Who remembers what they learned in school say "I." (boy it's awful quiet) Well I sure don't. So I have info on Trig, and a place to get measurement Conversion Calculators. You name it, they have it.

I am back!! Again! I just wanted to mention that some of these things actually work. Give them a try if you ever find yourself in a situation that calls for some of these screwy remedies.

Oh and I have one more for you... Ever have a pen blow up on you? In your pocket, your tool belt, or pouch? Well, I have. I have also learned that "Goof Off" or "Goo Off", (the solvent to remove the sticky residue left over from stickers) works great to get the ink off your hands, tools, counters, and just about anything else. I also learned that it takes Kilz out of carpet too.

After searching long and hard, well... not really, After looking into it a little, I have come to realize that I am not qualified (or too lazy) to index the searches. Therefore I have improvised to what you have here today. If you have followed my notes and tried what I suggested then searching through my site shouldn't have been to difficult.

As always, you are encouraged to give me feedback, ideas and suggestions for my site. If you can't find me, I am right here. In case you would like to get in touch with me you can reach me at dgonline@comcast.net

Have a nice day!!
