Wednesday
Depart Philadelphia. I headed to the airport early, due to the snow storm and the airline reporting computer glitches and long waits in lines. The flight was delayed a hour, leaving at 10pm, which was good because I was held up by security for further searching due to the baggy, comfortable clothing I was wearing for the flight.

Thursday
Arrive in Manchester. It was the smoothest flight I have ever taken, even with the delay of take-off. I arrived 9:20am GMT (4:20 EST), only 15 minutes later than the stated arrival time. I was leery of getting lost in the airport so departed the plane straight away to keep up with the other passengers to locate the baggage claim area. The only problem was that first, we all had to go through customs. What an experience that was! I got the agent who must have been having a bad day. He thoroughly questioned me, asking me the same questions over and over: purpose of visit, where I was going while there, where I was staying, etc. When he asked how I was getting to the hotel, I said a friend was picking me up, at which time he insisted on calling "my friend" and verifying it. Most of you know this is the first time I was meeting Dan, so you can imagine my embarrassment at this point. I was worried that having the custom agent contacting him would make him think I was a security risk or a whacko. Finally he returned and let me go through. When I arrived at the baggage carousel, mine was the only bag left going around and around. Dan found me outside and I am glad he didn't decide to just leave me there after that call! After the long flight and nearly being up 48 hours, we decided to make Thurs a light day: hotel check in, store for all the items you are no longer allowed to travel with, and FOOD! We went to a local coffee lounge call Lily's and ate paninis. The afternoon was spent meeting up with Jon and going to Riley’s to shoot some pool. Dan had a rehearsal that evening, so I returned to the hotel room and caught up on some rest.
