Social Dancing for Sociable People! |
| In downtown El
Cerrito, at 9951 San Pablo Avenue right across from El Cerrito Plaza, stands a two-story
building once known by its nickname, "The Citadel." Built by "Big
Bill" Pechart, the gaming king of the 30s and 40s, the fortress-like building was
both a luxury residence and speakeasy for high rollers. |

Dancing
- The Sport for Everyone!
Today, adults of all ages mix and mingle at Gale
Robinson's and Kate Schonmeyer's beautiful dancing salon on the second floor. Experienced
teachers offer quality instruction to all levels of dancers. The separate lounge provides
a hideaway for schmoozing, and a private courtyard furnishes a cool respite for stargazing
in warm weather. |
