The Lives of Artists: Ceremony Collected #2

5.5x8.5inches, ISBN 0-9762615-6-1, hardcover, $19.50, to be available soon

This book, a development of Ceremony, a Journal of Poetry and Other Arts, includes poetry, prose,
and photography by authors and artists who have entrusted me with their writings and art, again.

Introduction

The artist’s life is characterized with few objects of any value on this earth;
a near all-encompassing sense of emotional insecurity;
merciless up and down cycles of eating;
the frequent need for a change of scenery;
endless searching for tolerable if not satisfying part-time work;
impoverished relationships in love;
insomnia vs. the impossibility of waking up in the morning;
dramatic mood swings depending completely upon the positioning of the moon;
and a great affinity for beauty.

Though the life of an artist is haphazard, malleable, and perhaps unruly,
I cherish mine. At some point in the year 2008 this book will be available
for perusal and purchase. I hope that it doth satisfy.
