2: Strip, Modify and Plan
April - May, 2004
I
have begun gutting the cabinet - the horror... the horror... Yes, I
know I could be lynched by collectors for doing this. I played the game
enough times to know I didn't care for it, and I was able to sell the
game board to someone who needed it to get his Rally-X up and running.
The cabinet is serial number 932, so I don't think it qualifies as extremely
rare.
I will be wiring this cabinet up with a PC, I-Pac, ArcadeVGA
video card and an arcade monitor. I plan to run MAME with only games
that use a vertical monitor, and 1 or no buttons. That way I don't have
to modify the existing controls other than to swap the position of the
joystick and button, which are currently reversed from most games.
