Cocktail Arcade Project

Page 4: Finished Product
July, 2004

I have finished the cabinet to my satisfaction. Granted, there are a few things that could be done to make it "mint", but I am content to have it look the way it does.

To turn it on you simply click the original pushbutton switch located under the cabinet. To turn it off you exit from the front end by pressing the P1 and P2 start buttons at the same time (default Ipac keys), which shuts down the front end followed by windows. Once the screen shuts off it is safe to click the switch under the cabinet to shut off power to the internal power strip.

UPDATE OCTOBER 2004:
I was using a set of computer speakers for sound, 2 small speakers and one subwoofer. I wasn't too happy with having the large subwoofer magnet right under the monitor, so I decided to try an experiment. I combined the left and right speaker output wires to the original 6x9 speaker, and it actually sounds better than the PC speakers did!

Inside. The PC speakers and subwoofer have been removed since this picture was taken - and it acutally sounds better with the original single 6x9.
