Gameroom Pictures

Like most folks, my gameroom seems to be ever changing. I had a picture stored on the site that I'd bring up to show people what it looked like, but there was no dedicated web page for it.

Each time I rearrange the room I say to myself that it's the final layout. I say that I'm keeping all the games I have, and won't get any more. Then I find something on craigslist or think of something new to build, and things change yet again.

I decided to make a page dedicated to the gameroom layout. I think I'm finally at the stage where I can admit that nothing is set in stone, anything can happen. What's the big deal though, as they say 'it's only a game'.

The main wall of my arcade room. The current lineup is:

Dr. Who pinball
Star Trek 25th Anniversary pinball
Sinbad pinball
Eight Ball Deluxe Limited Edition pinball
Tempest upright

This wall has a dartboard, and wasn't supposed to get any arcades. At first I only had Omega Race there, and it's on nylon sliders so it's pretty easy to move out of the way to use the board.

Then I made a Multi Williams, and decided that nylon sliders wouldn't be a good idea because of how physical you can get when playing robotron.

Eight Ball Deluxe is the latest game I bought. It's my favorite pinball from back when I was a teenager. There were 3 cabinet styles the game came in, and this one is considered the least desireable because of its funky cabinet.

The game play is exactly the same on all 3 cabinet types. Once you pull the plunger and start playing you don't even notice what cabinet the game is in.

I managed to get this game into the house by myself, which was a pretty stupid thing to do. I alternated which pair of legs I put the dolly under, and lifted the other end to push.

Our cat tried to help, but I don't think her heart was really in it.

Yea take a break, you earned it. I couldn't have done it without you!

Not pictured is a Megatouch touchscreen game. It currently lives under one of the pinball machines because it takes up so much countertop space.
Also not pictured is a touchscreen jukebox project. I got two 17" CRT touchscreen monitors with the cabinet, but they both need cap kits.
