Wow- I have been really remiss in updating this webpage- almost a whole year has passed! I haven't stopped making beads though- in fact I have been making lots of beads and then I have been selling them at home shows around the Baltimore area. My latest beads have striking red over ivory and fine silver and by playing with the amount of gas and oxygen in the flame I can get some very cool colors. The amphora beads to the left are an example of this effect- also see the photos in the focal beads section under the jewelry link above.

Thanks for stopping by!

So I did my demo at the Mid Atlantic chapter of the International Society of Glassbeadmakers on Saturday last and while somewhat nervewracking it was fun. As I was describing the laborious process I go through to drill holes in the center of the sterling discs I use for the ends of the beads, someone pipes up with a tool that supposedly does it all in one go. I have got to find it. Some kind of tool or die.
The best part of the whole meeting was that when they all voted for the best bead of the quarter I had won! There is a picture of it on the website- see the link below.

I have been working so hard on the architectural plans for a new middle school that I haven't made any new beads in almost two months. I am doing a show this Sunday and hope to sell a lot of my fabricated pieces- Need to make some money so I can buy more glass!

Hope all is well with you and thanks for checking out my website.
