These have the feel of the Chinese "Flow Blue" plates that every now and then you see in a good antique store.

They were made for a landscape architects office to hold back a big nylon net scrim that separated the work area from the front office area- The entire office is in the ballroom of a beautiful old renovated hotel in downtown Baltimore.
