Athens 2004 -- Finn Olympic Campaign

The opportunity to participate in an Olympic Sailing Campaign is an earned privilege. Athletes young and old come to an Olympic campaign as national competitors and finish as members of the world community. Along the way they develop international friendships, learn to manage the ordeals of world competition, and gain the mental and emotional maturity necessary for a successful life. Most importantly, they discover that the reward isn't in winning but in the personal challenge of performing to the best of their ability. The FINN best embodies this Olympic ideal.
Supporting an Olympic hopeful is more than just helping a top athlete. It's providing an opportunity for an athlete to realize a life long endeavor through contributions made by businesses and private individuals. Donated funds are fully tax-deductible and provide much needed money to train and travel to Olympic qualifying events.
The Finn is the Olympic men's single-handed sailing discipline for the 2004 Summer Olympics. The Finn is regarded as the toughest single-handed sailing dinghy in the world. Its long tradition as an Olympic Class truly establishes it as the ideal Olympic sailing boat.
The Olympic quest is much more than a lofty goal. It is as much a destination as it is a journey. My record shows that I am capable of reaching such a destination. Through the efforts of local businesses, friends, and private donations I made it to 3rd place in the 2000 Olympic Trials in Richmond, CA and established myself as one of the nation's elite single-handed sailors.

Benefits of donating can be enormous. For a company, there are numerous advertising benefits which can enhance any community relationship. Private sponsorship is also beneficial and rewarding. Both are tax-deductible. Funds can be donated to the Sailing Foundation on behalf of the 2004 Olympic Finn Sailing Campaign. The foundation manages Olympic donations for sailors that have been declared an Olympic candidate by the U.S. Olympic Sailing Committee Chairman.
Nothing is guaranteed, but with your support my chances are greatly increased. For the latest news, click on Finn USA-1181 below. For more information, please send an email request to:
