Classes will be offered on how to use the Library, new sources for patriot service and
other interesting topics. The library offers various classes on a first come basis
There are computers for online research and a computer lab for small classes.
Other classes are planned on a variety of DAR related genealogy topics.

The Family History Library” followed by a delicious “Taste of Italy” buffet dinner with wine.
Monday, August 29th 8:30 am Class “How to do a Supplemental”. Help available.
5:00 pm Library closes. 6:00 PM “Southwestern” Buffet Dinner. Door Prizes.
Tuesday through Thursday mornings we will offer various specialized classes.
Thursday 8:00 pm Tabernacle Choir Rehearsal in the Tabernacle on Temple Square
Hotel Reservations, meals and transportation are on your own except for the Sunday Night and
Monday Night Dinners, which are included in the registration fee, and all classes arranged by DAR.
We have a block of rooms (45) reserved at the Plaza Hotel, 122 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84101 for seven nights beginning on August 28th through September 3. The single/double rate is $82 plus tax. The triple/quad rate is $89 plus tax. Specify DAR Rate when making your reservations, toll free at 1-800- 366-3684, or (801) 521-0130. The hotel is located next door to the Family History Library, across the street from Temple Square, home of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and adjacent to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. TRAX, the light rail system, stops just in front of the hotel. You can ride it to the multimillion dollar public library, Trolley Square or to the University of Utah, site of the opening ceremonies for the 2002 Winter Olympics, for a nominal fee.
There are other hotels in the immediate area, however we have no arrangement with these locations.
The reservation desk will be at the hotel on Sunday afternoon from 1– 5 pm and Monday morning 7:30 - 9 am
The SLC International Airport is only a few miles away and taxis and shuttles are available to the city.
