datasphere exclusive new promo EP "Taste Is the Enemy of Art" is now available

Chicago, USA, 2009

datasphere (aka Curtis King) are a musical collective from Chicago and Washington D.C. who have taken soulful Deep House and Electronica traditions and kicked them to the modern dance floor by adding a minimal German vibe with a melodic House vocal style. The first single to be released is "Six Beats (just wanna' dance)", "which is a breath of fresh air in the over-crowded current electro-house dominated scene" datasphere states. This new joint is a short-but-sweet radio edit featuring the soulful vocals of newcomer Gary Foreman (P.P.G., D. Media, Miro D.C.). Being a native of Chicago, Foreman is schooled in the vast House Music legacy that our city has left upon us. John Daminato (Chicago, Itch N' Sniff, Esntion, Miro D.C.) contributed fresh keys and some funkee-craazy vox samples that helped glue the over all sound together.

The flipside to this release is a hypnotic/ambient number by datasphere entitled "Kloudmass." Although House by nature, the track lends more to the Chill Out, Down-Tempo vibe with it's melodic soundscapes and chilly sweet pads throughout. The "Taste Is the Enemy of Art" EP was Engineered and Mastered by Matt Shultz (Chicago Recording Company).
