What the meter means:

 : Accepting all commissions
 : Accepting less detailed commissions
 : Not Accepting commissions
Whether or not I'm available to do commissions will always be indicated by the meter above. Generally, I love to do work with people who can come up with great ideas, especially humorous ones; it's just an overall fun experience. I also tend to be rather communicative and like to talk to clients over AOL instant messenger to make sure I get all the details right before trying. Reference pictures are greatly appreciated.

What I will do:
  • My best to make you happy for what you pay for.
  • I will send you the original, finished piece along with any preliminary sketches that may have been needed.
  • There's more things that I will do than won't, so in order to save space, I'll just list the "won't do's".

  • What I won't draw:
  • Copyrighted characters that you don't own. I'll waive this if you're commissioning a surprise picture with a friend's character, but that's it.
  • Smut. If it isn't tasteful nudity, I will not do it.
  • Extreme gore. Fight scenes and blood are okay, but nothing excessive, please.
  • Mechas or anything else comparably difficult.
  • I reserve the right to refuse to do a commission for any other reason that may come up in the future, but there really shouldn't be anything else I won't do.

    Now, onto the prices:

    B&W stuff

    Line sketch: $5 - $20

    Ink: $10 - $30

Graphite Rendering (inked or not, shaded): $25 - $50

    Color stuff (everything inked)

    Marker only: $30 - $50

    Marker+Col. Pencil: $35 - $55

    Col. Pencil: $40 - $65

    Digital: $20 - $50

These are just generalized prices, if you want a picture done in a special medium or on special paper, it may cost more or less. If you are interested in commissioning me, please feel free to email me at datonel@comcast.net with a brief outline of what you want the commission to be, what medium you want it done with, and approximate size of paper. I usually respond to my email within 2-3 days, and in that time I should be able to give you the estimated final cost for what you specified. If you opt for a digital piece, you can pay an additional $6 for a high dpi printout on semi-gloss paper and have it sent to you; this includes shipping and handling, which is 2-3 day US Priority Mail.

       Payment options:
  • Paypal: I generally prefer this method, as it's the fastest and it generally assures that I'll get started on your commission sooner.
  • Money order, cashier's check, personal check.
  • Cash (I wouldn't suggest this, but if it's the only option, I'd advise concealing it well and sending it via registered mail)
