Thailand is my absolute favorite place to visit in Asia for a number of
reasons. First off, everything is cheap there, and I can use it as a "hub"
to fly anywhere else in the region I want to go to. Secondly, the people are
amazingly friendly and sweet. I love the land of smiles. I could go on and on...
Krabi is a beautiful place to visit. It's never congested with tourists and
the scenery is spectacular.
This is Phra Nang. Named after a princess, whose spirit supposedly inhabits this cave.
I can't imagine how people might climb these rockfaces, but
I've seen people doing it (with gear, of course).
Up in Chiang Mai, Wat Doi Suthep is totally stunning... on a big hill (or mountain?)
overlooking the city.
I bought one of these bells and it hangs in my apartment.
The stairs up the Temple of Heaven.
A beautiful sunset in Bangkok.
Here is a rare sight. The arrival hall at Bangkok airport, empty. If only it could be this calm on
the days when I arrive.
The view while flying over the Gulf of Thailand. Not many Thai people actually get to see this view (or fly on
airplanes, which I think is a little sad).
