Location: ASLC DSO Site - Upham, NM.
Camera: Meade DSI Pro II using Schuler 9mm Ha and Astronomik RGB filters
Exposure: HaRGB 68:24:24:24 @ 4:2:2:2 minute subs combined using Ha for Lum, Ha+R for Red,G,B
Telescope: Canon 100mm f/2 lens @ f/4 piggyback on a Meade LX200
Guiding: DSI-C and Envisage
Processing: Frame registration and stacking (no darks) using ImagesPlus. Channel registration and RGB combining using RegisStar. Blending, filtering, star shaping, and final color adjustments using Photoshop.
Comments: This beautiful emission nebula is located in the constellation of Perseus and is quite large, extending several degrees in the long axis as seen from a distance of more than 1000 light-years.© Dave Dockery 2007
