
Object: The Eastern Section of the Veil Nebula - NGC6992

Location: ASLC dark sky site near Upham, NM
Camera: SBIG 10XE using a TeleVue 85mm refractor @ f/5.6
Mount/Guiding: G11, SBIG 10XE internal guide chip
Total Exposure: LRGB 90:30:30:30, 5min subs (AstroDon True Balance filters) color binned 2x2. Camera temp -5 degrees C
Processing Software: CCDSoft, Registar, and Photoshop. Standard processing then created a duplicate layer and used the PS Minimum filter to remove many of the stars and blended this back into the original image.
Comments: This beautiful structure is part of a Supernova Reminent (SNR) in the constellation Cygnus.© Dave Dockery 2008
