Comments: The familiar shape of the constellation Orion (the hunter) lies partially hidden beneath glowing clouds of gas and dust in this long exposure photograph. Barnard's Loop, a semi-circle of glowing red hydrogen, lies to the left of Orion's belt. Inside the loop are the Orion, Running Man, Flame, and Horsehead Nebulae. The Rosette Nebula is also visible in the upper left of the image directly across from the bright orange star Betelgeuse.
